Recent Spoofing Activity involving OIG Domain

The Office of the State Inspector General (OIG) has recently been informed of spam email messages received by third parties which appear to have originated from the OIG domain. These reports have been investigated and confirmed to be spoofed messages. There has been no breach or compromise of OIG systems and these messages are not legitimate.

If you receive an email you were not expecting and it appears to be from OIG, please use caution and verify the authenticity before clinking on any links or entering credentials. OIG will not send any notices via email to Georgia citizens regarding the upcoming runoff election or the COVID-19 pandemic.
