The State of Georgia, Office of the State Inspector General (OIG), is a statutory office tasked with investigating fraud, waste, abuse, and corruption affecting the State of Georgia executive branch agencies. OIG additionally conducts evaluations and audits of state programs and agency-specific policies and procedures and provides trainings to state agencies on the detection and prevention of fraud.
In addition to an Inspector General and Deputy Inspector General(s), OIG is comprised of investigators, auditors, criminal analysts, and administrative staff.
Auditor/Examiner 2
Primary duties include planning and conducting detailed audits and proactive reviews of statewide programs. This position will also support criminal and administrative investigations of the State Inspector General’s office by reviewing and scrutinizing subpoenaed financial records, performing analyses to determine misuse of time, funds, and/or equipment, and preparing summary reports.
